Excellent Optics

Although the Levenhuk LabZZ M101 Azure/Blue is a children's microscope, its optics are comparable to many "adult" models. Three objective lenses are mounted in a special revolving turret, allowing the user to switch objectives without interrupting work with the microscope. Additionally, this microscope is equipped with a retractable eyepiece that offers 10x and 16x magnification. It is more convenient than using two separate eyepieces, as the child won’t have to change them, reducing the risk of losing them. Using this eyepiece is very simple. The microscope has six levels of magnification: 40x, 64x, 100x, 160x, 400x, and 640x.

Studying Microscopic Specimens

This microscope is suitable for observing transparent objects – you can use ready-made samples from the kit or create your own slides. The prepared sample is placed on the round stage and secured with clips, so the specimen won’t shift even if the microscope is accidentally bumped. Light from the illumination passes through the object and creates an enlarged image in the eyepiece. Since different samples require different lighting, the brightness of the illumination is adjustable.

Comfort and Safety

A heavy, professional device is not necessary for children – it is more important that the children's microscope is lightweight yet durable. The body of this model is made of high-quality plastic, making the microscope reliable and lightweight. To prevent strain during long sessions, the eyepiece tube is tilted at a 45° angle. The illumination is powered by batteries, meaning the microscope can be taken outdoors easily without needing to be plugged into a power source.
