The Levenhuk Rainbow D50L PLUS 2M microscope allows you to capture images and videos of the specimens you are analyzing.
Modern technology entering the field of optics significantly increases creative possibilities. With the D50L PLUS 2M microscope, you can not only observe plant or animal cells but also save the results of your studies by taking photos and videos. The kit includes everything you need to conduct exciting experiments. You can easily share your discoveries by posting images or videos on Facebook, Instagram, or other social media platforms.
The kit includes three objectives. The strongest objective is equipped with a spring-loaded protection mechanism. This mechanism protects the microscope optics. Even if you lower the objective too much and touch the specimen, the objective will retract, preventing any damage. The kit also includes a 2x Barlow lens, which doubles the magnification power. The microscope has a maximum magnification of 1280x! The optical elements are made of high-quality transparent glass, reducing image distortion to a minimum. The glass is coated with anti-reflective layers, ensuring bright, clear, and high-contrast images, essential when working with high magnification levels.
The microscope comes with a high-quality digital camera with a 2MP resolution. The camera is inserted into the eyepiece tube in place of the eyepiece and then connected to a computer using the included USB cable. The magnified images of the specimens will be displayed on the computer screen, which is much more convenient than looking through the eyepiece. Children can show interesting samples to their parents or friends, and teachers can demonstrate every step of an experiment to students.
The microscope is equipped with two LED illumination systems. Lower illumination is necessary for observing transparent specimens such as animal tissues or microorganisms from a drop of water. Opaque objects, like fabric or paper, should be observed with upper illumination. For semi-transparent objects, both light sources are required. You can adjust the light intensity for optimal specimen observation.
The microscope body is made of metal, ensuring reliability and durability for frequent use. For comfortable use, the head is tilted at 45 degrees and can rotate 360 degrees around its axis. This feature is very useful when working in groups – you don't need to move the entire microscope, just rotate its head.
The microscope includes an adapter for the socket, but it can also operate on batteries (included). The digital camera is powered via the USB cable.
Note:
Be cautious about the power supply voltage. Never connect a 110V device to a 220V socket, or vice versa, without using a converter. In the USA and Canada, the voltage is 110V, while in Europe, it is 220V.
The Levenhuk Rainbow D50L PLUS 2M microscope comes with an experiment kit. We recommend starting by observing the pre-prepared specimens, and then, with a little experience, try preparing your own specimens using the accessories included in the kit. The user manual contains all the necessary information about the microscope’s design, tips for preparing specimens, and detailed descriptions of experiments.
The included plastic carrying case allows you to keep the microscope and accessories organized, ensuring nothing gets lost. It also protects the instrument during transport.
